This includes brand-new situations specific to every single career path currently possible in the game. You can now collect all the different careers in Billie in a handy tab that reveals the jobs you’ve previously undertaken and when you first received them.
It’s also a handy place to check which jobs you haven’t currently experience so you can aim for them in the future. As of this update, you’ll start receiving performance scores for every single full-time job, including the military.
If you’ve worked really hard for a company for a long period of time in Billie, you might just get rewarded with a lovely retirement package. Judging from what we’ve seen so far, this appears to be a random event that allows you to retire and rewards you with a yearly pension.
This might sound like a great new feature but the problem is that your bosses can also adjust your hours too. The IQ test involves watching four different colored lights turn on in a certain sequence.
Or you can share your scenarios with the Billie team and maybe your creation will be put in the game. Next, press the main menu button in the top left of your screen, it looks an equal sign with an extra line.
Once you are on the main menu screen, you will have a whole wealth of things to view or options to change. In this menu, you will see a default random event pop up where you can change all the text provided.
Candy writer even mentioned that any good scenarios are likely to be included in a future update. Once you have finished typing out all your options and scenario description, and you have double-checked for spelling mistakes, now you can share your masterpiece.
Clicking this button again will allow you to save a copy of your scenario, as well as share to various social media platforms. If you have no one to share your creations with, the active community on Reddit would be a good place to start.
And with 2019 drawing to a close, we aren’t surprised by its enduring success as the number one life simulator for iOS gamers, and also a huge hit on the Google Play Store for Android device owners. Over the past few months, the Billie universe has become much bigger, as Candy writer released expansive school and workplace updates and various realistic (or sometimes, ridiculous) scenarios that come with both environments.
That made it possible for best friends to, well, technically survive until their hundreds of years old, with the only ways for you to get rid of them being emigration, unfriending (in the event they commit a crime or develop a drug problem), or murder. Once you’re studying or working, you can make friends with your classmates or workmates, and if you don’t take good care of that relationship, they could unfriend you.
Generally, friends who have low Craziness stats will be loyal and wouldn’t require much maintenance, the latter of which we shall be discussing in another tip. We’ve seen the latter scenario happen, though thankfully, that didn’t result in the cops busting our Citizen for being an accessory to the crime their friend committed.
Now that it’s possible to make multiple friends in the Billie world, we’re going to talk about the different options you’ll have throughout each play through, starting with the different types of activities you could share together. Just like your partner, parents, siblings, children, pets, nephews, and nieces, your friends can be viewed in the Relationships menu, and while many of the interactions will be the same, some will be unique to the friendship mechanic that was expanded on in version 1.28.
(At this point, player-controlled and NPC Citizens still aren’t sophisticated enough to have specific tastes in music, movies, TV, or the like.) Since not all pranks are mean-spirited in nature, these may or may not improve your relationship status, but spreading rumors is definitely one good way to lose a friend.
The bottom line here is that if you don’t want to lose any friends, you have to make them feel appreciated, even if it’s through one compliment or conversation per year. Family members won’t disappear from your Relationships menu while they’re still alive (or, in the case of step-parents, while they’re still married to one of your biological parents), but friends certainly will if you aren’t careful.
In addition to your fellow students at school or your coworkers in the rank and file, you can also reach out to the people above you and tap on the Befriend button to see if you can add them to your list of friends in the Relationships menu. Once again, we would need to caution you about making friends with authority figures in Billie, just as we did when we talked about buttering up teachers with compliments and going on special team-building exercises with supervisors.
But instead of manually going up, down, left, or right in the burglary and prison riot mini-games, the game now allows you to navigate using swipe controls. For most players, this appears to be a welcome change, especially for the riot mini-game, which isn’t always easy to play once prison security gets involved and your chain of rioters becomes rather long.
Aside from the new friendship features and the revamped mini-game controls, Candy writer added several new countries to the game, most of them in Africa and Asia. Austria, Bahamas, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Costa Rica, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Kuwait, Lebanon, Mongolia, Nepal, Ukraine, and Vietnam are now available in version 1.28, with country-appropriate economies and customs for each of them.
As also stated in the change log, version 1.28 has introduced a number of new childhood scenarios that may have some bearing on your Citizens’ stats and other aspects. For the latter scenario, we’ve noticed that based on multiple walkthroughs, choosing a color associated with the opposite sex (e.g. pink for boys, blue for girls) increases the chance of the Citizen feeling homosexual tendencies once sexuality comes into play.
Those are just some new scenarios for child Citizens, so feel free to experiment with different choices as you keep playing the game and starting new lives! It also appears that certain first names, e.g. Peyton and Carson, as we’ve noticed, are now available for male and female Citizens alike.
One thing we didn’t catch in version 1.27 is the one way in which you can effectively estrange yourself from your partner and all your blood relatives. If you’re at a family dinner and you refuse to save the life of a relative who’s choking on a piece of food, that doesn’t just mean you’re letting the person die and increasing the chances that they may haunt your house because you were such a terrible individual.
Billie just got a massive new update that introduces a bunch of exciting new content, including a Scenario Creator, new countries, cities, and vacation destinations, and the Monk and Nun careers. Alongside that are a bunch of squished bugs, interface improvements, and general refinements.
This lets you create and share custom scenarios with your friends, giving you an easier method of living the exact Billie you want. Once created, you can share a custom scenario with a friend to let them play through it.
Afghanistan Belgium Djibouti Dominican Republic Iraq Poland Puerto Rico Switzerland Taiwan Thailand United Arab Emirates Uruguay There’s also a bunch of new cities and vacation destinations but Candy writer wasn’t specific in the update notes.
Presumably, these folks have been added as extra options for those who want to be religious but don’t like the idea of being a Priest. We haven’t managed to head down these paths just yet, but we presume the entry method is very similar to the Priest.
Candy writer’s Billie has gotten its fair share of updates since its release in September 2018, and the version you may have just downloaded, for sure is, is almost unrecognizable compared to the original edition that rolled out way back then. That’s because the company has kept rolling out new updates for both iOS and Android versions that don’t just squash bugs and improve stability but also add a plethora of new features.
The all-new Pop Star Update (version 1.45) now lets you choose which instrument you want to master in childhood, whether to take vocal lessons or not, and whether you wish to join a band or become a solo artist once you reach adulthood. But before you set off on your quest to create the next Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, One Direction, or Post Malone in the game’s fictional universe, we suggest you check out our latest Billie strategy guide, which goes in-depth about all the new features included in the Pop Star Update and talks you through the things you need to do to become rich and famous in the world of music.
Prior to the arrival of Billie ’s Pop Star Update, musical stardom had become pretty much cut-and-dry for most players. Be born with good Looks, apply as a Background Vocalist out of high school or college, and work your way up the ranks until you become a Lead Singer and eventually become famous enough to star in commercials, pose for photo shoots, and the like.
That goes all out the window with the new update, though it is still strongly recommended that your character starts out with good Looks and remains attractive till the time comes to apply for a music-related job. That also applies if you don’t have God Mode, in which case newly created Citizens will randomly come with Music or Sports talents, or none at all.
As we’ve noticed, you’re going to have to wait till you reach your 18th birthday before you can audition for a record company as a solo artist or join an existing band. But it’s still a good thing to know that you can now join other people’s bands in various roles or try your luck as a solo performer instead of simply rising from singing background vocals to fronting your group.
Sadly, it doesn’t look like voluntary mid-career genre changes à la Gwen Stefan, Taylor Swift, or Machine Gun Kelly are in the cards at the moment, though that’s a feature we would certainly hope Candy writer adds in subsequent updates. For those who choose to join a band, it is important to remain on good terms with your band mates if you don’t want to get kicked out unceremoniously.
Of course, you can also insult them if your Citizen is that type of musician with an attitude problem, most likely the dreaded Lead Singer Disease we hear so much about. By tapping on Kick Out, you may opt to dismiss someone from your band for whatever reason you may have in mind, although there may be some random situations where the option to boot someone for one transgression or another may come up.
You may or may not like Billie ’s takes on popular real-life bands like the Red Hot Chili Peppers (Super Hot Ghost Peppers) or Black Sabbath (Dark Sabbath), but changing your band name right off the bat is an easy shortcut to getting kicked out before releasing a single or an album! Regardless whether you’d rather go solo or join a band, you will always have the option to release a full-length album or a single with the new Billie Pop Star Update.
Not all of your releases will turn out to be successful, and that’s especially true if you join a band with their Popularity bar in red or orange territory. However, you can improve your chances of selling more records by maintaining a good relationship with your band mates, as we suggested above, and performing well in your concerts and tours.
You can still circumvent this by auditioning for a band, though if you choose to go solo afterward, chances are the labels will still treat you as if you’re yesterday’s news. For solo artists and band members, the Discography serves as an equivalent of the Stats option for professional athletes where you can view your character’s statistics in each pro season.
