(AP Photo/John Blakemore) Guilfoyle ’s name came up as one of those in Trump’s family and inner circle who, many said, should be investigated for inciting violence committed by the president’s supporters.
But the Justice Department appeared to switch gears Friday, with an official saying that Trump and other speakers at the rally were not expected to be criminally charged for inciting a riot. Another DOJ official told reporters that the federal investigation is focused solely on criminal acts at the Capitol building.
The investigation continues as House Democrats moved closer to introducing an impeachment resolution next week, possibly for “incitement of insurrection,” CNN reported. Legal experts also said the First Amendment could make it difficult for Trump and others to be prosecuted for impassioned speeches.
But even if Guilfoyle can’t be prosecuted, she was nonetheless being scrutinized on social media for her starring role in the video, apparently filmed by Trump Jr., before the start of the rally. Guilfoyle, in a black cape, turns to the camera and briefly breaks into the hip-shaking dance she’s been showcasing at other recent pro-Trump rallies.
Guilfoyle ’s voice also rose to a yell, which has become her signature speaking style since the Republican National Convention. The former Fox News personality from 2006 to 2018, Guilfoyle's electric speech at the 2020 Republican National Convention went viral.
KimberlyGuilfoyle waves after speaking at a campaign event for U.S. President Donald Trump at ... Extreme Manufacturing on September 13, 2021 in Henderson, Nevada. The complaint alleges Guilfoyle told the assistant to “submit to a Fox employee’s demands for sexual favors, encouraged her to sleep with wealthy and powerful men,” demanded they share a room on business trips and “required her to sleep over at her apartment,” all of which made her feel “deeply uncomfortable,” according to the New Yorker.
Since her departure from Fox News, Guilfoyle has led a joint fundraising effort between the Trump reelection campaign and the Republican National Committee. She’s become a prominent Trump surrogate and made waves with a fiery speech on the first night of the Republican National Convention.
“They want to destroy this country and everything that we have fought for and hold dear,” she said, arms raised, creating a striking and meme-able image. Both did a lot of yelling in their speeches on behalf of Kelly Offer, David Purdue and Trump’s vision of America.
Gavin Newsom, specifically raised false claims about people being allowed “to steal elections or the White House or the presidency,” while Trump Jr. revealed his new term of endearment for his girlfriend: “Puerto Rican pit bull.” The term refers to the San Francisco-born Guilfoyle having a Puerto Rican mother; her father is an Irish Immigrant. In her speech, Guilfoyle ’s voice rose to an impassioned, ear-piercing yell that was reminiscent of her full-throttle endorsement of Trump at the Republican National Convention.
The former Fox News host, 51, also yelled out her introduction of her boyfriend Monday night by praising him as “an incredible maverick who loves his father, who fights and believes in this country.” Guilfoyle dancing, incidentally, has become a Twitter meme, with people sharing videos of her swiveling her hips at a pro-Trump rally in December, as well as “getting funky” during Vanilla Ice’s performance at the Trump family’s New Year’s Eve party at Mar-A-Lago.
Trump Jr., 43, revealed his new nickname for Guilfoyle while making fun of the Democratic congressman who closed out the opening prayer for the 117th Congress with “amen” and “a woman.” Beyond being ideological soulmates, Trump Jr. and Guilfoyle appear to enjoy a genuine attraction that they’re not shy about displaying in public.
The two began dating in the spring of 2018, around the time that Trump Jr. and his wife, Vanessa, the mother of his five children, announced their divorce. The twice-divorced Guilfoyle said she appreciated her new boyfriend for being “an incredible outdoors man” and for possessing certain traditionally masculine qualities.
In 2018, they gave themselves the nickname “Soberly,” while Guilfoyle revealed that she sometimes calls Trump Jr. “Junior Mint,” Yahoo reported. At a fundraiser at the Trump Hotel in Washington in December, Guilfoyle offered to give a lap dance to whomever raised the most money, Politico said, citing two people who were present and another person who was familiar with the episode.
During an event in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, last year, Guilfoyle and Trump Jr. joked about how she raised money in hot tubs, Politico reported. At a fundraiser in the fall of 2018, headlined by country star Toby Keith, Guilfoyle joked that Trump Jr. liked it when she dressed up as a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader, an attendee told Politico.
The report by Politico came after an investigative story in the New Yorker suggested that Guilfoyle had to leave Fox News in 2018 because of sexual harassment allegations made by a former assistant in a 42-page draft complaint. It’s not likely that the mostly mask-less Trump fans gathered at the non-social-distancing rally Monday night were concerned about the sexual harassment allegations against Guilfoyle, but they may have enjoyed witnessing Trump Jr.’s emergence as a future leader within the Republican Party with the loyal and enthusiastic Guilfoyle by his side.
CNN quoted one unnamed adviser who said Guilfoyle's speech was “strange in its delivery” and that Kimberly shouting is weird.” According to the Daily Beast, Trump called Guilfoyle to “to effusively praise her” for the RNC speech and compared her to Eva Peron, the former first lady of Argentina who is the subject of Andrew Lloyd Webber's musical “Evita,” an apparent favorite of Trump's.
It’s utterly preposterous that there are those who are nefariously and greedily twisting innocent conversations amongst close friends into much more than what it actually was for financial gain. Guilfoyle had been angling to buy time in order to win support from Rupert Murdoch, Fox’s head honcho, according to Huff Po.
But doesn’t this radically affect her day job?” CNN media reporter Brian Shelter said on an episode of “Reliable Sources” earlier this month. Guilfoyle, who is several years older than Don Jr., had previously been romantically linked to former White House communications director Anthony Scaramouch.

Guilfoyle's mother, Mercedes, taught special education.
Her father, Anthony “Tony” Guilfoyle, was born in Tennis, County Clare, Ireland, and immigrated to the United States in 1957 at the age of 20. In 1958, while still an Irish citizen, he was drafted and served for four years in the U.S. Army.
After being discharged from the army, Tony Guilfoyle took up work in the construction trades. He later became a real estate investor and, until his death in 2008, a close advisor to Mayor Newsom.
Guilfoyle then spent four years in Los Angeles as a deputy district attorney, working on adult and juvenile cases, including narcotics, domestic violence, kidnapping, robbery, arson, sexual assault, and homicide cases. She received several awards at the Los Angeles District Attorney's Office, including Prosecutor of the Month.
In 2000, Guilfoyle was re-hired by Tallinn in the San Francisco District Attorney's Office, where she served as an assistant district attorney from 2000 to 2004. During this time she achieved a conviction while co-prosecuting with James Hammer in the 2002 case People v. Noel and Knoll er, a second-degree murder trial involving a dog mauling that received international attention.
In mid-2017, Guilfoyle signed a long-term contract extension with Fox. A year later, in July 2018, Guilfoyle abruptly left Fox News ; she then began working for a pro-Donald Trump super PAC.
The New Yorker subsequently corroborated reports that Guilfoyle had been forced to resign, rather than leaving by choice. After Guilfoyle's departure, Fox News agreed to an out-of-court settlement with an assistant who had accused Guilfoyle of sexual harassment.
Terms were not disclosed, but The New Yorker reported that the settlement was at least $4 million. The assistant alleged that Guilfoyle frequently displayed herself naked, showed photographs of the genitalia of men she had had sex with, and required her to sleep over at Guilfoyle's apartment.
The New Yorker independently verified several of the assistant's allegations. In 2015, Guilfoyle released a semi-autobiographical and advice book, titled Making the Case: How to Be Your Own Best Advocate, on her experiences growing up, working as a prosecutor, and encouraging people to always advocate for themselves.
Guilfoyle speaking at a campaign rally in Sun City, Arizona in November 2018 In December 2016, it was reported that Guilfoyle was being considered to serve as press secretary for President Donald Trump. Sean Spicer was considered the front-runner for the position and was ultimately selected.
On the May 12, 2017, edition of The Five, co-host Bob Becker hinted that Guilfoyle turned the job down. However, in an interview with Bay Area News Group on May 15, 2017, Guilfoyle confirmed she was in contact with the White House about the position following Spicer's resignation.
However, on May 19, Guilfoyle said she was under contract with Fox, indicating she turned down the White House. In 2018, The Washington Post described Guilfoyle as a “conservative cheerleader for President Trump”.
As of early 2020, the Trump campaign was paying Guilfoyle $15,000 per month through the campaign manager's private company, Par scale Strategy. Guilfoyle has been a surrogate on the stump and taken on broad advisory roles.
In the Trump 2020 campaign, Guilfoyle managed a fund-raising division. This division paid socialite Homers Parkas to raise money.
The fundraising division managed by Guilfoyle was in internal turmoil amid departures of experienced staff and accusations of irresponsible spending. In July 2020, Guilfoyle was diagnosed with COVID-19, but her boyfriend, Donald Trump Jr., tested negative.
In August 2020, at the Republican National Convention, Guilfoyle gave a speech that was widely described by some observers as unnecessarily loud or unhinged, though others in media described it as passionate. In January 2021, Guilfoyle joined President Trump, Donald Jr., Rudy Giuliani, Eric Trump and others on the Ellipse in Washington, D.C. to address the “Save America March”.
Guilfoyle also appeared in a video screened at the march by Donald Jr., “break into the hip-shaking dance she's been showcasing at other recent pro-Trump rallies” and “tell Trump fans: 'Have the courage to do the right thing! On May 27, 2006, in Barbados, Guilfoyle married furniture heir Eric Violence.
Guilfoyle gave birth to their son, Roman Anthony, on October 4, 2006. In June 2009, Guilfoyle and Violence announced that they were separating; their divorce was finalized later that year.
In June 2018, Vanessa Trump, who had filed for divorce three months earlier, confirmed that Guilfoyle was dating her husband, Donald Trump Jr. The divorce was finalized at the end of 2018. In mid-2019, Guilfoyle and Trump jointly purchased a $4.4 million home in The Hampton's.
