Is Rust Check Safe On Rubber

I want to get my vehicle undercoated only with Crosscheck this fall. My question is has anyone had this done to their vehicle, and have any rubber parts like CV boots suffered from swelling or damage afterward? The only time I experienced a problem was on a Honda Civic that had been sprayed annually for about 8 years.

The open cell foam weatherstripping around the edges of the hood and doors had begun to swell, and lengthen. You could save the hardware by asking the guy working on your car to spray the nuts and bolts etc with fluid film or any other quality lubricant every time it's in the air. American cars, Jap cars, etc I have no idea if its beneficial, but the late model German stuff doesn't rot out unless you let a bad paint chip go, or park it literally right in the ocean.

As it sits now it is 4 years old and I have seen brand-new gm's with stickers in the window with more chassis rust than this has. I am saying from my experience, I would not put that sloppy shit on my vehicle.

If you took a couple 05's say, one crowned and the other not, everything else relatively the same, they would not look any different underneath or in the rockers and door jams etc. I think that more or less sums it up, it's a great selling feature for an older car too.

I compare my 10-year-old van I drive that has been Known'd, to the 10-year-old parts van I got which is identical, built the exact same day (seriously). The van I drive has no rust, all lines are like new under the undercoating, even the rocker sills are solid.

The brake and fuel lines are leaking, the sills are in existent, transmission, and power steering lines are leaking, and the floor and rear axle are rotted with pinholes. It does work, but these days it seems people just don't keep cars as long as they used to.

If you wash it and take the time to hit the known problem areas, the dirt and grime can't build up. If you asked me to hit all the fasteners with some penetrating fluid or something, I gladly will.

I forgot to do it last year, and there is STILL stuff running out the drains on the doors and hatch. Yeah, it can drip for a while, but it's worth it if you plan on keeping the car for a long time.

I guess some people are really against them (Known) drilling holes in the door jams to inject the product under pressure inside the rocker panels, but the holes are quite small and are sealed up after with rubber grommets. Rust Coat was applied inside the doors and shit too.

Other locations apply Known in the city, but I prefer going to the actual dealer. The ones you see with corrosion there, are usually rock chipped to fuck and have spent most of their lives driving down dirt roads and/or never being washed.
