Have you noticed that Amazon doesn’t deliver on their 2- day Prime Shipping anymore? I tested this on a bunch of different shopping categories and made sure it was all products sold and shipped directly by Amazon, and none could be delivered before Sunday, 6 days from NOW.
At this point, give them your zip code and ask them to run it through their system to find out for sure whether your address qualifies for 2- day shipping. If your address does qualify, then you know the EXACT reason why you’re not getting your packages within 2 days…it’s because Amazon can’t hold up their end of the bargain and should pay for it.
This is when you politely ask for a 1-month refund on your Prime membership (approximately $10) because Amazon can’t hold up their end of the bargain. I did this recently via a phone call to their customer service department and it took me all of about 5 minutes to score the $10 refund.
Note: My family orders from Amazon at least 1-2 times per week and I’m not sure if that played a role in getting the 1-month refund, but in either case, it’s definitely worth a shot. Now that the economy and stores have opened back up in most of the country, the demand for online shopping has been greatly reduced.
In case they're still not ready to check out that day, they can still choose from among the 10 million items eligible for One- Day delivery and get them shipped for free with no minimum purchase until December 23rd. They can also take advantage of Amazon's same- day delivery service, which they can get for free on orders over $35, until December 24th 9:30AM local time.
Last month, Amazon revealed that it would be working to cut its free Prime shipping in half from two days down to one, and it appears the company has already started rolling out the feature in some areas, as spotted by Slickers. Amazon chief financial officer Brian Olsavsky has previously promised that “it will take us a significant amount of time to achieve” one- day shipping across the board, so if you don’t have it yet, you might just need to be patient.
Pedestrians pass in front of a Walgreens Boots Alliance Inc. store in San Francisco, California, U.S. Walgreens has thousands of retail stores, which could give it a leg up in speedy distribution of prescription drugs.
But Amazon also has a sizable network of stores where consumers can pick up things they order online after its takeover of the grocery chain Whole Foods. Walgreens and rival CVS Health Corp. face a looming threat from Amazon, which bought online pharmacy Pullback for about $1 billion in June.
This is possibly a defensive strategy just to make sure that CVS is in a position to respond when that happens,” Globalist Retail analyst Neil Saunders told Reuters. CVS is reported to have made an offer to buy Aetna for more than $66 billion in a deal that would give the drugstore chain more leverage in price negotiations with drugmakers.
The drop in net income was mainly due to a loss of contracts to fill millions of retail prescriptions for customers of Trocar, a Department of Defense health care program, and pharmacy benefits manager Prime Therapeutics. In the beginning, I signed up for Prime, Amazon ’s signature membership program, to get access to the Washington Post.
I rarely bought in bulk, thanks to my apartment’s lack of storage space, so there was no appeal in placing large household orders. Amazon automatically renews your Prime account, likely one reason why the service has such high retention rates.
There’s no way to turn off this auto-renewal short of cancelling your account, but you can choose to get an email alert a couple of days before your subscription is due to re-up. I used my accidental Prime to watch some Amazon TV shows (Fleabag, Catastrophe, Mozart in the Jungle) and to make the occasional online order.
“The date at which your membership ends and your benefits will be disabled is shown on the final page of the cancellation process.” It struck me that this information would have been more useful to me, the consumer, on the first page of the cancellation process, but probably less useful to Amazon, which obviously intended to keep me enrolled.
I asked England why Amazon didn’t include an option to stop Prime from auto-renewing instead of sending a reminder before that happened. “This option is shown on the final page of the cancellation process, ‘End on ,'” England wrote.
Amazon is currently pushing to make one- day shipping the norm on Prime, doubling down on the speed proposition, and it’s not hard to imagine that window shrinking to a few hours once the company gets drone deliveries off the ground. Byron is an Amazon Prime member, so he knows he can get things shipped to him fast.
In Byron’s chat with the rep, he’s told at first that the item is on a truck in Tennessee. When Byron expresses disbelief that the truck will make it from Tennessee all the way down to Florida in one day, as he has experience in the shipping industry, the rep just says it’ll arrive today.
If your deal has a code, it’ll be automatically copied to your clipboard. Students with a valid NUS Extra Card can apply an Amazon student discount code at the checkout and receive a 5% discount on selected items.

It depends on what you’ve purchased and why you want to make a return but most items have a standard 30 days return period from after you’ve received them. For the highest valued items the condition must be completely unused and unopened, whereas other products can sometimes be returned, refunded or exchanged if they have been used.
Amazon have devised a system to make returning an item quick and easy. You can use your Amazon account to select the order, the item you want to return and print a label to attach to the parcel.
