Each store that Amazon offers provides free shipping to Debt accounts if you spend over $35. The downside is that you will have to pay shipping fees on the items that are not Debt eligible if you don’t have a prime account.

Due to coronavirus (COVID-19), children who are eligible for free or reduced-price meals at school will get extra food benefits. P- Debt benefits help families in California buy food when school is closed.
Most families with children who receive Afresh, Medical or Foster Care benefits do not need to apply online. Families with children who applied for Afresh, Medical or Foster Care benefits after their school closed will get their P- Debt card in the mail before June 30, 2021.
Families with children who are eligible for free or reduced-price meals and who do NOT get Afresh, Medical or Foster Care benefits must apply online before June 30, 2021. Follow the instructions that came with your P- Debt card and create your private PIN.
Children may continue to receive “grab n go” meals or emergency food at COVID-19 emergency feeding sites offered by schools and community locations, even if they are receiving P- Debt benefits. If you do not get your P- Debt card in the mail and you apply before June 30th, 2020, you will get the full amount of benefits.
If you applied online and have not yet received a card in the mail after 12-14 days, you can call California’s Debt customer service center at (877) 328-9677. P- Debt is similar to disaster emergency benefits that the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has confirmed would not be considered for public charge purposes.
Additionally, benefits received by children do not count against their parents for public charge purposes. Children are the recipients of P- Debt, so it won’t be considered as a benefit received by their parents.
Instead, you can call the Debt Customer Service Center (877-328-9677) to request a change of address beginning the week of May 25. Children who are eligible for P- Debt, but are not receiving Afresh, Medical or Foster care benefits must apply.
The P- Debt application should be completed by the parent who is responsible for purchasing and preparing a majority of a child’s meals (more than 50%). If you got a P- Debt card, but it did not include benefits for all your eligible children, you should fill out an application for all the students in your household.
The discounted membership includes free two-hour delivery with Prime Now, Amazon Family’s discount on diaper subscriptions and Amazon ’s full library of streaming movies, TV shows and music. “We designed this membership option for customers receiving government assistance to make our everyday selection and savings more accessible, including the many conveniences and entertainment benefits of Prime,” Greg Greeley, vice president of Amazon Prime, said in a statement.
“ Amazon will add other ways to qualify in the future for customers participating in government assistance programs that do not utilize Debt,” an Amazon press release noted.
