You are also watched by constant surveillance vigorously, they track your movements, and people, including senior management, are incredibly rude and unprofessional. It’s also impossible to socially distance between you and other associates despite the fact you are to comply with health guidelines, making working unsafe.
All this without being given Hazard pay and no tangible way to receive praise or a promotion. Was this review helpful? Honestly, I've heard about how horrible Amazon treats its employees but never expected it to actually be that bad.
If you don't hit their “average”, you won't make it in this job. Don't even get me started on the training. They pretty much showed us videos and then threw us on the floor expecting us to hit the averages daily.
Was this review helpful? Not strict on COVID-19 policies once you go beyond the front area of the warehouse. Spent a lot of time at the beginning of each shift waiting for management to assign us to stations.
I ended up getting COVID-19 from here (95% sure) and they only paid me my base pay rate and took over a week to approve it, so I missed out on getting paid on Christmas Eve and had to wait until the next pay period. Was this review helpful? The only reason I work here is for a temp moneymaker.
Was this review helpful? Practically every person you ever hear of has said that they regret working for Amazon and that it wasn't worth it, it very many rings true. Was this review helpful? An good job for someone seeking entry-level work.

Long, dreading hours, short breaks, on your feet for ENTIRE shift, hot climate Was this review helpful? Put simply, Amazon is essentially highly paid slave work. Never take a role from them through a job agency, allows them to cut you whenever they want. They pay a lot better than any warehouse but with the caveat of ridiculous productivity numbers, but that's to be expected from the most profitable company on the planet. They do offer a shuttle service for those who do not drive and there are always plenty of hours to work but you'll need a high work ethic and drive to survive.
Was this review helpful? Scanning boxes and building pallets is really easy. If you want to take a day off, you have to use your sick time or get a To (Voluntary Time Off) that they post it online and if you are not SUPER quick other people will take it since they only post it for a limited amount of people.
Was this review helpful? OverallGrab packages off of the conveyor belt Scan them onto the correct pallets Make sure each pallet of boxes is stacked correctly so they wouldn't fall over. At amazon, they help you grow in different areas. Although there are some great people in lower management positions, for the most part Amazon does not value their hardworking employees.
No qualifications needed, Amazon will basically hire anyone so it's a good enough choice for a first job. Seasonal, so being able to choose your schedule is nice- too bad it's a first come first served basis so the most ideal hours are usually taken up fast.
Boring and exhausting work, low pay, garbage management, short breaks Was this review helpful?other than the management doing what they can to make sure that you are not within 6 feet of each other when you come in, there is no distancing yourself when your timed on completing your order.
These Yellow Vested “Leadership” people have given me eye rolls and are not nice in conversations. Was this review helpful? It's great to work there everything is useful pay is good no complaints can go to restroom whenever needed and.
Was this review helpful? I have quite a bit of input but little opportunity to express it. I am appreciative of the mangers that go out of the way to give me the chance to do well and learn other stations, but that is a very small percentage of them.
Some people are lazy and get angry when others excel, but I just move on and help anyway. Very little to zero management input, employees are very lazy as a rule and seem entitled, the good managers are few but there are some, the mangers have different messages, most positive input I get is from other employees that appreciate my hard work, people are generally nice but some have terrible attitudes.
